All you need to know about humidity-

Humidity is SO important for healthy plant growth!

Your rooms' humidity affects your plants health. Some plants like it HUMID, while others love dry air. Your humidity should be between 40-60% for most plants. You can grab a hydrometer to keep an eye on your humidity levels.

Different plants need different humidity. Tropical plants such as most monsteras, birds of paradise, parlor palm, tree fern, philodendrons, like the pink princess, pathos, prayer plants love high humidity.

If your plant doesn't like humidity, keep your levels under 40% and between 30-39%. If your plant likes some humidity that would look like 40-60%, and if the plant loves humidity 60-80% is ideal. In order that'd look like, cacti, most house plants, tropical house plants.

Humidity benefits your plants by allowing them to receive an atmosphere similar to that of their origin and to aid in healthier plant growth. Humidity helps new leaves unfurl without damage. Humidity also helps the plants photosynthesize. Adding humidity to your house for the sake of your plants is a welcomed idea.

Can humidity harm your plants? Simply put yes, if your plant is from a non-humid place natively, they most likely won't react well to humidity. Cacti for example wouldn't enjoy a high humidity level (above 40%+. ) In this case keep these plants away from your humidity source.

You can create humidity. Unless you live somewhere that is humid to begin with you might have to supplement your humidity to have happier plants! If you have tropical plants they will thank you! Ways to create humidity: buy a humidifier (check your local thrift store or online), use a fine mist spray bottle, use a pebble tray*, place plants in the bathroom, group plants together, use a cloche or a plastic baggie over your plant for a DIY greenhouse.
